Martial Arts Events...          Local, National and International Events are all within the reach of our members. Affiliated clubs and their members are encouraged to develop themselves, their martial arts and friendships in martial arts through networking. l

Sharing Knowledge...                 Many events see instructors from many different martial arts and disciplines working together and helping each other develop. The core principles of all martial arts relate to honour, discipline and self control.

Club Grading ...                      Grades are a fundamental part of martial arts and many aspire to the black belt. Club instructors can undertake their own grading and register and ratify their grades with other organisations, this of course can affect the cost of the grading. Grades of course relate to knowledge of a syllabus not how good you are at fighting.


  • International Grading ...        These events are made up of black belt grading panel who concur on your performance. The participant is scenario tested to see how they apply their knowledge from their syllabus. Usually an international grading are for brown belts and above.

New Knowledge...                The B.N.M.A.A recognises that no one ever stops learning and no one know everything. The event are geared around the worlds top martial arts instructors, champions and celebrities to work together sharing knowledge and raising the profile of martial arts.

Booking Events...                            The best way is always to book through your club instructor, if you need to book online you can do so via the shop but you will need your instructors discount code. This ensures you get the best deal and that you receive the benefits of B.N.M.A.A Membership. It allows the software to charge the lower membership price as the shop is open to member and non-members

Beginners Workshops                                                                                                Un-graded total beginners and the lower grade martial artists can attend these specialised workshops to get them kick started in martial arts and or develop specific skills.                                                                                                                                       The Next Beginners Workshop  is on the 24th & 25th May 2008, at the Hilton Hotel Bradford on the International Training Weekend, see your instructor to book now.                                                         

Black Belt Workshops...                                                                                                Middle to Black Belt grades can wanting to expand their horizons in specific areas to develop expertise in an area of interest. The workshops can include a variety of martial arts, weapons, edged weapons defence, control and restraint, pain compliance, gymnastics, competition fighting and much more. Competition...                                                                                                              Our competitions span through many different sections formats and categories. Good rules are important so all competitors are protected through lower and high grades. Martial arts is a hobby and our MALYMPEX competitions use the S Factor Rules which allow the participants to maximise skill and minimise contact. Using the S Factor Rules you can compete in Judo, Karate, Kumite, Semi Contact, Light Continuous, MMA, Open Combat, Freestyle, Taekwondo, Patterns, Kickboxing, Wushu, Kung Fu, Push Hands, Freestyle Musical Forms, Team Forms, Musical Weapons and Traditional Weapons. Awards Schemes                                                                                                             Instructors Award Scheme - BNMAA.Hon can also be nominated by students for various awards (nomination click here), these are decided by our awards committee and instructors are notified and invited to the awards ceremony.                                

ISAS International Students Award Scheme...                                                                      Students may contribute to their clubs that are not rewarded by grade and the ISAS is a way to show thanks and appreciation, this can come from other fellow students or instructors who want to nominate an individual.
